The hot-melt adhesives provide manufacturers with the feasibility of improving the quality of their products whilst, at the same time, improving aesthetics through secure bonding without the use of nails, screws and other types of fastening – which may be not only unsightly but also expensive.
Our Prodas ™ glue programme is applied in the automotive industry for the bonding of foam, acoustic composites, lining, head-lining components and other sub-fitting products. In addition, BEARDOW ADAMS Adhesives have successfully developed a hot-melt type for use within the global telecom cable market.
As to the industries producing kitchen appliances and electronic devices, we have designed a glue type for cavity sealing and for keeping control panels, belts and gaskets in position and thus rendering the more conventional means of fastening – such as screws – superfluous.
As it is a non-toxic product, the hot-melt adhesive is also used for replacing solvent-based glue types in the manufacturing of e.g. mattresses, seats and furniture and, to an increasing extent, hot melt is used in the direct manufacturing of gaskets which means considerable time and cost savings.
